ix Industrial connector wins award

For its ix Industrial connector, jointly developed with Japan’s Hirose technology group, the Harting Technology Group has won the "Innovator of the Year" award of German trade magazine "Design & Elektronik" in the electromechanics category.

In response to the growing demand for global digitization technology, Hirose and Harting agreed last year to team up and bundle their strengths. The result is the jointly developed ix Industrial – a miniaturised Ethernet interface for high data rates. Together, both partners have standardised the new ix Industrial mating face to IEC/PAS 61076-3-124. More than 1,500 readers of Design&Elektronik participated in the online voting for this award.
